ESCP Score Requirements 2026: Academic, Language and Test Standards

ESCP Business School does not rely on a single score cutoff to make admissions decisions. Instead, the Admissions Committee evaluates the full academic profile, language ability, motivation, and fit with the programme. This page details what competitive applicants typically present.

Academic Profile

• Strong secondary school grades throughout — consistency matters as much as peak results
• French Baccalauréat equivalent: 14/20 or above is competitive; 12–13/20 is possible with strong other elements
• IB Diploma: 34+ points is typically competitive (36+ for strong candidates)
• A-levels: A*AA or AAA typical range
• Strong performance in quantitative subjects (mathematics, economics) is particularly valued

English Language Requirements

• IELTS (Academic): 6.5 overall (no band below 6.0) is a typical minimum — 7.0+ is competitive
• TOEFL iBT: 90 minimum — 100+ is competitive
• Native English speakers (UK, Ireland, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand) are typically exempt from language test requirements
• Students with a secondary school diploma from an English-medium institution may also be exempt — verify with ESCP admissions

Optional Standardised Tests (TAGE MAGE / GMAT)

ESCP does not require TAGE MAGE or GMAT for the Bachelor in Management pathway. However, strong results in either test can strengthen an application, particularly for candidates whose academic grades are borderline. If you have already prepared for the TAGE MAGE as part of French Grande École preparation, submitting your score is worthwhile.
