We recommend starting 12 to 18 months before your intended entry date. For UK universities (UCAS), the main deadline is mid-January, but Oxford and Cambridge applications close in mid-October. For US universities using the Common App, early decision deadlines are typically in November. Starting early gives you time to prepare entrance tests like the IELTS, TOEFL, SAT, or Bocconi test, and to build a strong application.
