In a nutshell: ESADE does not publish official minimum scores. Admitted BBA candidates typically have a SAT of 1300+ (1400+ for top profiles), IELTS of 6.5+ (7.0+ recommended), or TOEFL of 90+ (100+ recommended). The ESADE Admission Test is an alternative to the SAT/ACT. A competitive GPA is 3.5+/4.0.

This page provides a detailed analysis of the scores and profile expected for admission to the ESADE BBA in 2026, with our recommendations to maximize your chances.

SAT and ACT Scores for ESADE

ESADE accepts the SAT, ACT, or its own admission test. While the school does not publish minimum scores, here are the ranges observed among admitted candidates:

TestAverage Score of Admitted StudentsCompetitive ScoreExcellent Score
SAT1250-13501300+1400+
ACT27-3029+32+

A SAT score of 1300+ puts you in a good position, but the most competitive candidates reach 1400+. The SAT tests reading, writing, and math skills. We recommend starting preparation at least 4-6 months before your target test date.

The ESADE Admission Test

The ESADE Admission Test is ESADE’s proprietary test, designed to evaluate candidates’ academic potential without requiring standardized test preparation. It consists of three sections: verbal reasoning (reading comprehension, vocabulary, linguistic logic), numerical reasoning (math problems, data analysis, calculation), and logical reasoning (sequences, patterns, deduction).

ESADE does not publish scores for this test. The advantage is that it focuses less on academic knowledge and more on cognitive abilities. It is an excellent option for students who haven’t had the opportunity to take the SAT or ACT.

English proficiency is crucial as a significant portion of the BBA is taught in English. We recommend aiming above the minimums to strengthen your application. Candidates whose native language is English or who have studied in a fully English-taught program may be exempt.

Spanish8/10+9/10+

ESADE evaluates academic records holistically. Your overall average is important, but progression, program rigor, and subject choices also matter. Students in science or economics tracks have a slight advantage.

Extracurricular Profile Expected

Beyond scores, ESADE strongly values the candidate’s overall profile. The most appreciated activities include leadership (club president, team captain, student representative), entrepreneurship (project creation, student startups, initiatives), social engagement (volunteering, NGOs, community projects), international experiences (exchanges, travel, languages), and high-level sports or artistic achievements.

How to Improve Your Profile

If your scores are not yet at the desired level, here are our recommendations. For SAT/ACT: use resources like Khan Academy or specialized prep courses, take practice tests regularly, and aim to sit the test at least 2 times. For English: language immersion, daily reading in English, specific preparation for the test format. For academic record: focus on key subjects, show progression, and choose ambitious course options.
