Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to common questions about Bachelor admission in England.

What is UCAS and when do I apply?
UCAS is the centralized admissions service for UK universities. Applications open in September and typically close on January 15th for most universities (October 15th for Oxford, Cambridge, and Medicine/Dentistry). We recommend starting your application prep in summer.
Can I apply to Oxford and Cambridge in the same UCAS cycle?
No. You can only apply to one of Oxford or Cambridge per admissions cycle. However, you can apply to both in different years. Our coaching helps you choose which college and subject alignment is best for your profile.
How important are A-levels compared to the personal statement?
A-levels are critical and typically required to be at predicted/achieved grade A*-A. The personal statement is equally vital for demonstrating genuine subject passion, extracurricular activities, and intellectual curiosity. Both matter enormously for Russell Group acceptance.
What’s the typical interview process at Oxford and Cambridge?
Both offer tutorials (interviews) conducted by college tutors in your subject area. These are academic conversations testing your thinking and problem-solving, not knowledge recall. Sessions last 20-60 minutes. You’ll have 2-4 interviews across different colleges. Our interview coaching specifically prepares you for this unique format.
How much do English universities cost for international students?
International tuition ranges from £20,000-£42,000 per year depending on the university and programme. STEM subjects and postgraduate degrees are typically more expensive. Living costs in London run £12,000-£18,000 annually. Many universities offer scholarships for excellent students.
