Admission requirements
1. Application deadlines
Application deadlines vary from program to program. It is important to consult the admissions calendar specific to the course you are interested in. You can find this information on the UEM website or by contacting the admissions department directly.
2. Registration procedures
The registration procedure is carried out online via the EMU web portal. Candidates must create an account, complete the application form and provide the required supporting documents. Applications can be submitted in several stages.
3. application form
The application form is the main document required to apply to the EMU. It must be completed online and includes the following information:
- Personal information: Last name, first name, nationality, date of birth, address, etc.
- Academic information: diplomas, transcripts, etc.
- Information on the desired training program: choice of program, level of study (bachelor’s, master’s, doctorate), etc.
- Cover letter: explaining why you are applying to EMU and the program you have chosen.
- Curriculum vitae: detailing your academic and professional background.
- Recommendations: Two letters of recommendation from professors or professionals may be required for certain programs.
Other documents
Depending on your situation and the training program you have chosen, you may also need to provide other documents, such as :
Proof of your financial situation: if you are applying for a scholarship, you will need to provide proof of your financial situation.
English language test: if the program is taught in English, an English language test (TOEFL, IELTS, etc.) may be required.
Proof of Spanish proficiency: if you wish to study in Spanish, proof of your language level may be required.

Tuition fees
Tuition fees at UEM vary according to the program, the level of study (bachelor’s, master’s, doctorate) and the student’s nationality. Details of tuition fees for each program can be found on the UEM website.
Bachelor’s degree: annual tuition fees for Bachelor’s degree programs are generally between 10,000 and 15,000 euros.
Master’s: annual tuition fees for Master’s programs are generally between 12,000 and 18,000 euros.
Doctorate: annual tuition fees for doctoral programs are generally between 5,000 and 10,000 euros.

How do I apply?
Admissions:
In order to check whether you meet ESADE’s admission requirements, the Admission Committee will assess the following information on an individual basis:
- Admission application form.
- Academic record. The average grade our students are awarded for Baccalaureate is around 8 (0-10 scale).
- The results of the ESADE admissions test, the SAT or the ACT.
- English level.
- Personal interview (if relevant).
The admissions criteria for the MBA program and for the Msc program are relatively similar. For the MBA program you must however prove that you have multiple years of professional experience.


When do you have to start preparing for ESADE Barcelona?
Taking into account the preparation work necessary for admission to ESADE, we strongly advise you to start preparing your application file during your final year in order to maximize your chances of getting accepted to the Bachelor’s.

How do I apply?
As part of our Admissions Process, IE University requires candidates to take their Admissions Test to measure their competencies, skills and personality characteristics. It also evaluates their English level. Students may also opt to take the ACT, SAT or LNAT in place of IE University’s entrance exam.
Although not mandatory, students may wish to add English scores to their application. Standards as are follows:
- TOEFL: minimum 90, 100 points recommended
- IELTS: minimum 7 points
- Cambridge: CAE (with marks A, B and in some cases C with a strong oral conversation) or CPE
Students wanting more support in English may enroll in a Language Proficiency Track (LPT) their first year to reinforce their English skills.

Always bear in mind the preparation work needed for admission to IE University, it is therefore strongly recommended that you start preparing your application at the start of your final year to maximize your chances of success.
A year of tuition at IE University ranges from just over €20,000 to €24,000 depending on the course. The University offers some Financial aid opportunities, which may cover up to 100% of enrollment fees. Students may apply for IE Loans, IE Scholarships or outside funding and should do so by completing their Financial Aid application.
