This policy explains how Your Dream School collects and uses personal data when you visit our websites (yourdreamschool.fr, yourdreamschool.com, yourdreamschool.es and he.yourdreamschool.com), contact us or use our services, and what rights you have.

1. Who is responsible for your data

Your Dream School (SIREN 840 726 475), 3 Villa de la Faisanderie, 75016 Paris, France, is the controller of your personal data. Some invoices and payments are issued and received by YDS Consulting LLC, a related company based in the United States, which then processes the billing data they require.

2. The data we collect

• Identity and contact details of the student and of their parents or legal guardians: first and last name, email address, phone number.
• Information about the study project: school year or level, target schools and programmes, school reports, test scores, date of birth, and the documents you send us for applications.
• Data related to our services: notes and session summaries, messages exchanged by email, WhatsApp, chat or phone, and the information you share with us during our conversations.
• Billing and payment data: billing name and address, invoices, amounts paid. Card payments are handled by our payment providers: we never have access to your full card number.
• Browsing data: pages viewed, device and browser type, approximate location derived from your IP address, and the identifiers set by cookies (see section 8).

3. Why we use your data, and on what legal basis

• To answer your requests (website forms, appointment booking, chat): steps taken at your request before a contract, or our legitimate interest in replying to you.
• To provide the support you have chosen (admissions coaching, test preparation, application follow-up, session summaries): performance of the contract.
• To invoice, collect payments and keep our accounts: performance of the contract and compliance with our legal obligations.
• To tell you about our webinars, guides and services: your consent or, for our clients, our legitimate interest in presenting similar services. Every email includes an unsubscribe link.
• To measure our audience, improve our websites and measure the effectiveness of our advertising: your consent, given through the cookie banner.
• To secure our websites and forms and prevent spam and fraud: our legitimate interest.

4. Who has access to your data

Your data is accessible only to the Your Dream School team and, for the students they work with, to our coaches and tutors. We also use service providers that process data on our behalf, in particular for website hosting (IONOS, servers in France), email and document storage (Google Workspace), our client database and automations (Airtable, Make), information emails (MailerLite), online chat (Crisp), registration forms (Fillout), webinars (Zoom), payments (Stripe, Wise), and audience measurement and advertising (Google, Meta, Microsoft Clarity, Hotjar, PostHog). We never sell your data.

5. Transfers outside the European Union

Some of these providers, as well as YDS Consulting LLC, are based in or access data from countries outside the European Union, in particular the United States. These transfers are covered by the safeguards provided for by the GDPR, such as the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

6. How long we keep your data

• Prospects who did not become clients: 3 years from our last exchange.
• Clients: for the whole duration of our support, then 3 years from our last exchange.
• Invoices and accounting records: 10 years, as required by law.
• Cookies: 13 months at most; your cookie choices are also kept for 13 months at most.

7. Students under 18

Many of our students are minors. Their data is processed as part of the support their parents or legal guardians have signed up for, and the parents or guardians can exercise the rights described below on their behalf.

8. Cookies and similar technologies

On your first visit, a banner lets you accept or refuse non-essential cookies. We use:

• cookies needed for the site to work (language choice, security, online shop and chat);
• audience measurement cookies (Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, Hotjar);
• advertising cookies (Google Ads, Google AdSense, Meta).

You can change your choices at any time by deleting cookies in your browser settings: the banner will appear again on your next visit. You can also block cookies in your browser, but some features may then stop working.

We also use PostHog, hosted in the European Union, to measure our audience without cookies and without identifying you: nothing is stored on your device, and we only collect the pages viewed and general technical information (where the visit came from, device type, country).

9. Security

We protect your data with appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access restricted to the people who need it.

10. Your rights

You have the right to access, correct and erase your data, to restrict its processing and to object to it, the right to data portability, and the right to withdraw your consent at any time. You can also give instructions on what should happen to your data after your death.

To exercise these rights, write to us at contact@yourdreamschool.com or at our postal address; we may ask you for proof of identity. We will reply within one month.

If you believe your rights are not being respected, you can lodge a complaint with the CNIL, the French data protection authority (www.cnil.fr), 3 place de Fontenoy, TSA 80715, 75334 Paris Cedex 07, France, or with the data protection authority of the country where you live.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The date at the top of this page shows the latest version.
