A Bocconi test retake is useful only if you understand what you want to improve and can still meet the relevant deadlines. This guide was revised in September 2026; it does not promise a particular score increase.

Check the retake rules first

The 2027–2028 instructions allow up to four attempts per test type. Each costs €60. Attempts cannot take place on the same day or on consecutive days, and another attempt can only be purchased at least 24 hours after the previous purchase. Read the official instructions and rules of conduct before booking.

The score report is normally available within 48 hours and includes results by subject area. Check the current application procedure separately to understand how to use an eligible result.

Diagnose your first attempt

Use your report and your practice notes to distinguish gaps in knowledge, misread questions, rushed decisions and technical preparation issues. Do not assume that simply completing more questions will address each problem.

  • For a knowledge gap, review the concept and explain the solution in your own words.
  • For repeated reading mistakes, identify exactly which instruction or detail you missed.
  • For timing issues, practise decisions under the official navigation rules.
  • For technical concerns, consult the test provider’s instructions before the next booking.

Build a realistic revision cycle

Choose a small set of priorities, practise them, review the errors and then try a mixed timed session. Keep enough space between practice sessions to understand your mistakes. Adapt the workload to school commitments and the time actually available.

Compare results only when the practice conditions and scoring method are comparable. A better practice result is useful feedback, not proof that your next official score will rise by a fixed number of points.

Decide whether another attempt is worthwhile

Consider the remaining booking opportunities, your preparation, the fee and your wider application plan. Keep alternative options. For the current format, see our Bocconi online test guide.
