Master admissions coaching in Ireland
Updated 6 September 2026
Ireland has become one of the shortest routes to an English-taught master degree inside the European Union. Teaching is in English, most taught master programmes last one year, and Dublin hosts the European headquarters of a long list of technology, pharmaceutical and financial companies, which shows in the internship and graduate recruitment on campus.
Key facts and figures
- Trinity College Dublin states that applications open in November for September 2027 admission (source: Trinity College Dublin, international applicants, consulted on 6 September 2026).
- UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School holds the three accreditations EQUIS, AACSB and AMBA (source: UCD Smurfit School, consulted on 6 September 2026).
- Length: most taught master degrees in Ireland run over one year, which lowers total cost compared with a two-year programme elsewhere in Europe.
- Rolling admissions: Irish universities assess files as they arrive, so an application sent in December is judged against a fuller set of places than the same file sent in May.
- Your Dream School: more than 1,000 students coached since 2018, 500+ master admissions, and 160+ five-star Google reviews.
Where students apply
Three names cover most of the files we prepare. Trinity College Dublin is the oldest university in the country and the strongest generalist option, with master degrees across business, law, humanities and the sciences. University College Dublin and its graduate business school at Smurfit take the largest share of management, finance and business analytics applicants. University College Cork and University of Galway attract students in health sciences, public policy and data.
Selection is based on the transcript, the motivation letter, the references and, for business schools, on relevant internships. There is no national platform: each university runs its own portal, and a student applying to three universities completes three separate files. That is where most of the friction sits.
The timeline that works
Applications open in the autumn for the following September. Because assessment is rolling, we aim to submit between November and January rather than in spring. Working backwards, that means the English certificate is booked in September or October, references are requested six weeks before submission, and the motivation letter is written and revised over three or four sessions. Students who also apply in the United Kingdom keep both files on the same calendar, since the UCAS deadline for 2027 entry is 18:00 UK time on 13 January 2027 (source: UCAS, consulted on 6 September 2026).
How Your Dream School supports your application
We start by testing whether Ireland is the right fit against the student’s academic record and career target, then build a shortlist of six to eight programmes across Ireland and one comparable country. Our coaches work on the motivation letter line by line, brief the referees, prepare the interview where one is required, and keep the submission calendar. Coaching is delivered in French and in English. Our admissions counselling starts at 3,000 EUR and every formula is quoted on request. If no admission is obtained in one of the three first-choice universities defined at the start of the coaching, we accompany the re-application.

Frequently asked questions
When do applications for Irish master degrees open?
In the autumn preceding the September intake. Trinity College Dublin states that applications open in November for September 2027 admission (consulted on 6 September 2026). Since assessment is rolling, submitting between November and January is a real advantage over submitting in spring.
Do I need an English test?
Yes for most applicants who have not studied in English, normally IELTS or TOEFL, with the required band set programme by programme. Allow six weeks between booking and the score being usable, and book the test before writing the rest of the file, not after.
Is one year enough for a master degree?
For a taught master, yes. The Irish format compresses coursework into two semesters plus a dissertation or a capstone project over the summer. It suits students who want to enter the job market quickly, and it lowers the total budget because there is only one year of tuition and living costs.
How much does your coaching cost?
Our admissions counselling starts at 3,000 EUR. Each formula is quoted on request, since the price depends on the number of applications and on any test preparation added. More than 1,000 students have been coached since 2018, including 500+ master admissions.
