Choose the right admission route
Start with your programme, the country awarding your qualification and your intended entry year. Distinguish the undergraduate Global BBA from the Programme Grande École/Master in Management, specialised master’s degrees and MBAs for working professionals. Build a checklist of documents, assessments and deadlines for your own application.
Global BBA admissions
The Global BBA is a four-year programme offering study in French or English. Its main teaching location is Lyon, with international experiences depending on the pathway. First-year applicants taking the French baccalaureate apply through Parcoursup and SESAME. Those holding foreign school-leaving qualifications, such as the IB or A-levels, use the international route. This distinction concerns your qualification, not simply your nationality.
Entry into the second or third year is also possible depending on prior studies. Check the official Global BBA admissions requirements for eligibility and supporting documents.
Programme Grande École / Master in Management
Routes include entry after French preparatory classes, admission with a French higher-education qualification and procedures for degrees awarded outside France. For the latter, emlyon distinguishes Direct International Admission from the Join a School in France platform: these are separate procedures.
International eligibility depends on both the qualification and time spent studying outside France. Check the official Master in Management requirements for accepted tests, exemptions and selection stages. A supposed average GMAT score or overall acceptance rate is not a substitute for the requirements of your route and cannot predict an individual decision.
Specialised master’s degrees and MSc programmes
Degree, experience and English-language requirements vary by programme and entry year. Do not apply the conditions of one master’s degree to every MSc. Check whether your programme requires a management test, which English certificates it accepts and whether exemptions apply. The official emlyon FAQ directs applicants to the relevant procedure.
MBA and Executive MBA
The International MBA requires at least three years of professional experience. Its full-time, on-campus format in Lyon lasts eleven months, with an optional extension; a part-time format is also available. The Executive MBA is aimed at professionals with at least seven years of experience, with formats lasting twelve to twenty-six months.
