Studying law at Bocconi starts with identifying the right degree. The current undergraduate routes are Global Law and the integrated law programme, Giurisprudenza. This guide was corrected in September 2026 to replace an inaccurate description of a four-year “CLEL” degree.

Global Law: three years in English

The Bachelor in Global Law lasts three years and is taught in English. It combines legal studies with an international and interdisciplinary perspective, including economics, business and digital technology. The programme includes practical learning opportunities and can lead to further study or junior legal and advisory roles.

Giurisprudenza: five years in Italian

Bocconi’s integrated Master of Arts in Law, Giurisprudenza, is a five-year programme taught in Italian. It is distinct from the English-language bachelor. See the School of Law’s programme list and the official programme catalogue.

Check the admission route for your programme

Use the official admissions guidance to identify your applicant category, accepted tests, required documents and deadlines. Requirements for one programme should not be copied into an application for another.

Compare study and career plans

Before choosing, consider the language in which you want to study, the subjects you most want to explore and where you may want to work. Read the course list rather than relying on an acronym or a general description of the university.

  • Compare the compulsory subjects and available options.
  • Check language requirements against your current qualifications.
  • Plan tuition and living costs for the full duration of the programme.
  • Investigate further-study requirements for the career you are considering.
  • Check the relevant professional regulator before assuming that a degree qualifies you to practise law in a particular country.

Keep a written list of unanswered questions for the university. This guide does not estimate your admission chances or promise a particular salary or professional qualification.
